Lovely Birthday Cupcakes

Very simple post today. Some lovely birthday cupcakes made for a friend. Colour-coded, strawberry pink, mint green, lemon yellow.

I think mint green makes a great looking cupcake!

Another birthday explosion

So it's the big 30. Everyone needs an explosion of stars on their thirtieth, right?
Cakes and explosions go so well together...

Oh, yeah, there was an explosion at the nearby glitter factory.

Kitty cake

My fella's sister turned 18 recently, and loves anything to do with cats, so a cat cake was the only way to go... Meow!

Cute Christening

I was asked to do a christening cake with a lovely girly theme. So of course only pink and lemon would be fitting!

Some details for you

Nom-Skull

A good friend of mine is barmy about brains (she may be a zombie, I'm not sure) so for her 21st birthday I made a brain cake, obviously! Bottom cake is plain madeira. Brain cake is rose flavoured. And pink inside!

And obviously every birthday brain needs a party hat.

Birthday Zerg rush

I was commissioned to make a 21st birthday cake for a friend, and was left to my own devices. So I decided to theme it on a game he plays A LOT. Starcraft.
The thing on top is a spawning pool (one of these)

And here's the cake

So long and good luck!

A friend of mine is leaving for America soon, and what better way to say 'good bye and good luck' than with cake!
And these lovelies were full to the brim with strawberry jelly! (That's strawberry jam to us brits)

Boxes of Golden Lovelyness

I got a rather large order from a lovely couple, wanting 40 golden chocolate cupcakes. With the boxes, I think they look nice and elegant.

Bit of a Wonky 21st

Here is another wonky cake I made for non other than my lovely George on his 21st. Very sorry for the poor photo quality, these were taken as we were singing Happy Birthday at the restaurant!

With candles...

And without

iCake

So what do you get the man who has everything? I am, of course, referring to my Dad. He is very difficult to buy for, so this year for his birthday, my Mum and I decided to surprise him with a few i-gifts.

He received a lovely, shiny iPad, and (much better I think) a lovely, tasty iCake!

And of course, he had to have some personalised apps too

And here it is, next to the real thing

Happy wonky birthday

After what seems like a life time of no posts here at Frostylocks, and a lovely new years celebration in Egypt, I am back for more cakey creations.

This cake was the first wonky design I have tried. They are very fiddly to do, and carving them is hand-shakingly difficult. But here it is!

Sorry about the picture quality! I made this cake as a present for my Grandma, and she was very pleased with it :)
